As part of this year’s event, the online retailer is partnering with hip-hop star Megan Thee Stallion who unveiled a new original song Tuesday called “It’s Prime Day.” The music video revealed the Prime Day dates and shows the rapper purchasing a pink dog collar, fake eyelashes and other items from Amazon.

The company doesn’t disclose how much revenue it pulls in from its two-day discount sale, but previously said 2023’s event was its biggest ever with 375 million items purchased worldwide by Prime members.

July’s discount event will also mark the start of the back-to-school shopping season. Walmart and Target will both be hosting their own respective deals events during the week before Prime Day 2024.
