VP Harris visiting Charlotte

Vice President Kamala Harris will be back in the Queen City on Wednesday as the campaign trail continues to heat up ahead of November’s general election.

Harris will be joined by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper at Johnson C. Smith University as she continues her nationwide Economic Opportunity Tour.

As part of the national tour, she is highlighting efforts to create economic opportunity and support and invest in communities.

Harris’ visits to North Carolina come as the state remains a key battleground in the presidential election.

According to a recent poll conducted by East Carolina University, Joe Biden currently trails Donald Trump by about five percentage points in the Tar Heel State. Nationally, polls show a razor-thin margin between the two candidates.
