Began his DJ career in 88 on a college radio station in Davenport Iowa. He learned very quickly about radio and got a opportunity to have his own shift. As a on air personality he wanted to do more so he asked his PD about doing a Mixshow live. GMJ was the first dj in his area to mix live on the air and started getting his name out. Till this day he still love to do mixes. His mixes can be heard on Streetz 103.3/100.5 Charlotte, Hot89.7 Pinebluff Arkansas, B96 Louisville Kentucky, BigBoxRadio, Radio Invasion, 106.3 Spin FM & DashRadio Hiphop X. Previous stations he worked on are WKKV V100, KALA 88.5, SiriusXM Hiphop/Shade45.

Growing up in South Georgia he has built a foundation for the latest Old School R&B and hip hop music. His radio personality career began at Hot 840 AM a locally owned station in South Ga where he then became the hottest mixed show DJ, with the 1 night rated show, Monday-Friday Night’s with Clear Channel Radio (96.3 WJIZ).
