Co-owner of Brooks’ Sandwich House in NoDa shot to death, police say

One of the owners of Brooks Sandwich House was found shot to death on Monday morning!

The shooting happened just before 5 a.m. on North Brevard Street outside the Brooks’ Sandwich House, near Heist Brewery.

Police said they were responding to a shots-fired call when they found 61-year-old Scott Brooks suffering from a gunshot wound outside Brooks’ Sandwich House.

Officers tried to perform CPR, but Brooks did not survive.

Scott Brooks and his twin brother David have run Brooks’ Sandwich House since 1973, according to the business’s website.

The sandwich shop, which is famous for its burgers and hotdogs, is a staple in the community.
