A Real Hero (Click Here For Details) Darnell Harris was laid to rest on July 16th, 2019, after he was shot and killed by an armed robber at the Steak ‘n Shake on South Boulevard in south Charlotte.
Witnesses said Harris died protecting his co-workers in an attempt to stop the robbery. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Kerr Putney gave praise to Harris, saying his bravery in the act had saved countless lives.
The Charlotte community gathered at the New Bethel Baptist Church in west Charlotte and spoke kind words about Harris. Now they are giving back to his loved ones. You can donate to the family by clicking here.
