After a year’s hiatus, the tradition of Yard Art Day returns to Charlotte (and other locations) on Labor Day. Residents and business owners, professional artists, hobbyists, and families, will be creating art in their yards for the community to enjoy. Free admission. $6 for parking, and a charge for races and other activities

The Whitewater’s annual Labor Day celebration features live music by Durand Jones and the Indications, yoga, trail races and fireworks.

 

Matthews Alive

Friday, August 30th, to Monday, September 2nd, 2019
Stumptown Park, S. Trade Street Matthews
Admission is free. Charge for rides.

Matthews’ annual Labor Day festival includes a parade, music, kids’ activities, crafts and games. Admission is free, but you have to buy tickets for the rides and games.

Admission is free. Charge for food.

Admission and parking are free for this fun event. There will be live music, kids’ activities and a mechanical bull. A limited number of tasting tickets are available for purchase, and lunch will be sold as well.

Free admission, but it’s a market, so bring money for shopping, food, and drinks.

The first Sunday of the month the South End puts on an event with 65+ local vendors, a couple of food trucks, live music,  pet adoptions and more.
