CHARLOTTE, NC — The Carolina Panthers are heading into their bye week with renewed confidence after quarterback Bryce Young and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan delivered an impressive performance in Carolina’s 32–26 victory over the Detroit Lions.

The win at Bank of America Stadium on October 4 showcased the growing chemistry between two of the Panthers’ most important offensive players.

Young completed 29 of 41 passes for 329 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. His performance helped Carolina overcome a competitive Detroit team while demonstrating the offense’s ability to produce explosive plays.

McMillan was one of the biggest stars of the game, recording a career-best receiving performance and finishing just nine yards short of Steve Smith’s franchise single-game receiving record.

The second-year receiver also caught two touchdown passes, strengthening his reputation as one of Carolina’s most promising offensive weapons.

The connection between Young and McMillan could become a major factor in the Panthers’ success throughout the remainder of the season.

Carolina now has an opportunity to rest, evaluate its early-season performances and prepare for its next stretch of games.

With the offense beginning to establish consistency, Panthers fans have reasons to be optimistic about the team’s development.

The challenge moving forward will be maintaining that momentum against upcoming opponents and continuing to improve on both sides of the football.
