CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte Hornets are showing encouraging signs ahead of the 2026–27 NBA season after earning a 105–90 preseason victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
The matchup gave Charlotte another opportunity to evaluate its roster, build team chemistry and establish a competitive rhythm before the regular season begins.
Brandon Miller delivered an impressive performance, scoring 18 points in 23 minutes after entering the game with a day-to-day injury designation.
Milwaukee opened the contest with an early advantage, but Charlotte quickly responded by increasing its offensive tempo and applying defensive pressure.
The Hornets took control during the second quarter, using a 13-point unanswered scoring run to build a 60–45 halftime lead.
Charlotte continued to control the pace after halftime, extending its advantage to 20 points during the third quarter.
Milwaukee struggled to generate consistent offense, particularly from beyond the three-point line, while Charlotte capitalized on opportunities to create separation.
The performance highlighted the Hornets’ potential to play an aggressive, fast-paced style of basketball.
For Miller, the strong outing provided another encouraging sign as he prepares for an important season.
Charlotte’s coaching staff will continue evaluating player combinations and rotations as the team works toward establishing its regular-season identity.
With expectations growing around the franchise’s young talent, the Hornets are hoping their preseason progress translates into more competitive performances when the games begin to count.
