CHARLOTTE, NC — North Carolina has experienced significant voter participation ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, with more than two million residents casting ballots during the state’s early voting period.

Early in-person voting concluded Saturday, October 31, following weeks of activity at polling locations across the state.

The turnout reflects strong interest in several important races, including contests for the U.S. Senate, congressional seats, and state legislative offices.

In Mecklenburg County, voters have been participating in an election that could influence Charlotte’s future development, transportation investments, and local government priorities.

North Carolina has remained an important political battleground in recent national elections, drawing attention from both major political parties.

Election officials are preparing for additional participation Tuesday as voters who did not cast early ballots visit their assigned precincts.

Polls across North Carolina are scheduled to open at 6:30 a.m. and close at 7:30 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters can verify their polling locations and registration information through the North Carolina State Board of Elections.

With control of Congress and several major statewide political decisions at stake, North Carolina’s election results are expected to receive significant national attention.
