CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte FC is giving many of its season-ticket holders some financial relief, with the club lowering average ticket prices as Major League Soccer prepares for a major change to its competition calendar.
Season-ticket members began receiving renewal information on August 14, and most are seeing lower prices on their invoices. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, average season-ticket prices are decreasing by about 6% for the upcoming 2027 sprint season and the full 2027-28 campaign.
The pricing adjustment comes as MLS prepares to move away from its traditional calendar. Beginning in the summer of 2027, the league will transition to a summer-to-spring schedule, bringing MLS more closely in line with many of the world’s major soccer leagues.
Charlotte FC currently has approximately 15,000 season-ticket holders, making the pricing changes significant for a large portion of the club’s regular fan base. Current members have until October 9 to complete their renewals.
The club has also been making broader changes to its ticketing strategy. In July, Charlotte FC announced it was eliminating its personal seat license program, which previously required season-ticket buyers to pay a one-time fee for the right to purchase the same seat in future seasons.
Charlotte FC is also introducing additional benefits for season-ticket members. The club says its reworked membership program will include perks such as playoff and stadium-event purchasing priority, a ticket buy-back program, exclusive events and access to its Crowns Up & Away program.
For fans who aren’t already members, the club is accepting $100 deposits for 2027-28 season tickets, with general sales expected to begin in September 2026.
The lower prices arrive as Charlotte FC continues working to strengthen the matchday experience at Bank of America Stadium and retain its season-ticket base heading into a new era for MLS. With the league’s calendar changing and the club eliminating seat licenses, Charlotte FC’s latest moves appear aimed at providing fans with more value and flexibility going forward.
